Vintage well loved, distressed hand tooled leather belt adorned with an antique horse bridle rosette affixed to a beautiful vintage metal frame. This piece reminds me of my childhood and the peace I felt visiting them.

Bridle Rosettes date from the 1800’s - 1950’s. They were first used by the U.S. Calvary. Each had significant characteristic and meaning for the horses owner. The Rosettes were created with glass domes, enclosing hand-painted artwork, dye cuts, pictures and photographs. They are truly a piece on artwork on their own.
